It's a pop song based on an express train (kyuko) journey on the Keihin private line between Yokohama and Tokyo. In Japan drivers carry out their checks audibly, and salute each signal to ensure they observe it (SPADs are almost unknown!). The subtitles are translations of the words, a mixture of checks, conversations between the guard and driver, and train announcements.

Interesting song innit... And Joe yes some schools may teach Japanese but mine sure doesn't and even if it did I wouldn't choose to learn it. I'd much rather like to pick up on my French or German skills... Failing that I'll get back to my Gaelic routes by learning that language.

I'm sorry, but that was really scary.

I don't think that will make it to number 1 in the charts. ;D

Actual travel on Japanese trains is the opposite of scary - thanks to the constantly re-assuring announcements! The whole system seems to be geared to get you safely, punctually and efficiently to your destination without any hassle whatsoever. Why does that concept seem so alien?
