LU move customers from A to B, they used to do it via 'C'.

Hey Guys & Gals! Don't you think that our admin bods do a magnificent job? I for one am very grateful to them for all the help and support that I have been given since taking the plunge and joining this board. I think they do a great job of keeping things running and keeping the peace, it must be a fine line to tread. The least we can do is give them our support and thanks. Lets give them some positive feedback!

Aww, shucks! It's nice to know we're doing things right! But please don't be shy to suggest anything you'd like to change or any niggles you have. I'm not being in any way biased when I say this is THE best LUL discussion board anywhere on the WWW, and that's thanks to the members, not the staff! We do what we can, when we can and it's nice to know it's appreciated!

Aww, shucks! Ditto We are first and foremost members just like anyone else, and really don't do the job for any reason other than enjoying being part of this little 'community'. It can be 'tough at the top' sometimes, as we'll never please everyone - but like Alan say's, please feel free to contact any of us with suggestions etc if you feel we may be able to improve your visits....

It is certainly a team effort, admins and members. It could be compared to the teamwork of trains and stations, they both need each other to work smoothly.

Following the last two post's with their hints (why don't you just ask outright??) -
Dave has been very busy in his private life of late and something had to give - he felt the forum was in a very healthy state and that it didn't need his input to continue and thrive. He will be back as soon as he can - but please respect the fact that other things in his life take precedence over this forum.
To be more precise, and to avoid misunderstandings about 'private life', Dave has ended up as treasurer (unpaid) of the local Air Cadets group. This was never his intention, it just happened, and when he looked at the accounts he saw that they had not been done properly for years. So at the moment getting them straight is taking up almost all his spare time. It's not that he doesn't logon, just that he does not have the extra time to make posts. He has not fled the country or run off in disgust. As said, he'll be fully back as soon as he can.

Yes, I agree with all here. The admins do a fantastic job.
It is a real privilage to be a part of this forum - something I hope will continue for many years to come. The admins do a fantastic job here and are very supportive to everyone.
I hope that you all keep it up.
Dave, I hope the accounts sort themself out soon. It's great to hear you're ok.

If the state of an Air Cadet Unit Account is anything like a Sea Cadet Account he is in for a long haul getting it right, i was in cadets for 10 years and during that whole time we were threatened with closure, due to lack of funding. Several events we attended we had to march 5-6 miles because our MiniBus was inoperable.
And when i left, the MOD was threatening to cut back even more funding for their Cadet Forces, typical spend billions on a Type 45 Destroyer that won't last 40 years, but won't invest in the future of Children that'll stay a lifetime...
I'll get off my soapbox now, but i left because of the fact our unit was no-longer struggling money-wise, the job we as cadets did getting funds and of our comitte was largely ignored by those who are and were at that time in power.
