Hi guys
My home PC suddenly stopped working the other day (luckily I've also got a laptop with wireless internet). The PC boots up normally, then goes to the ''Windows XP'' logo screen, then goes back and reboots itself from that point - it keeps going round in a loop.
Any help?
Joe

See if you can get windows to start in safe mode.
Press F8 as soon as windows begins to start up and select "Safe Mode" from the menu. Then shut down and try starting normally.
This can be suprisingly effective at curing such startup problems.

I should explain Phil - I'm on my laptop at the moment.
Also, my ICT teacher told me that I need to reboot from my Windows XP disk....... which I, at the moment, cannot find!!

If you can get into safe mode you shouldn't have any need for the XP disk. Unless it turns out that the only cure is a reinstall, which is unlikely unless something particularly catastrophic has occured.

i had this problem awhile ago and it turned out to be a corrupted graphics card (nvidia) driver it was fine in safe mode as it uses a generic driver but when i went into system properties then device manager i had a yellow ! beside the graphics card in the end i had to re-install XP and i have had no trouble since then
