Adverts for this community site are doing the rounds again. The site's been about for ages and nothing's happening. It may be a scam to get you to supply your email address, so beware. www.tuberush.com/tuberush/

Remember: if you're not sure, you can read anything (does not register) but DON'T reply to it.
Treat these things exactly the same as SPAM or other mails from unknown sources - read but DON'T REPLY.
Even our vaunted ex-member Bob has been known to pick up suspicious sources (as he himself will admit).

Thanks Garth. No intention of deleting this sort of important info. Worth bookmarking in fact.

you can read anything (does not register) Not quite. Spammers have been known to use images with personalised URLs to track who is reading their spam. Email clients used to download images in HTML email automatically, but most don't now to avoid this. You can always explicitly ask for the images to be downloaded. Of course nobody should be using HTML email in the first place ...

Of course nobody should be using HTML email in the first place ... Particularly as people like me still use ancient, text-only email programs like Pine...

But don't trust it too much - using Firefox 1.0.7, I've saved entire 'protected page' in a readable form.

It also appears to use JavaScript to do everything - uck. If data is online there's a way of getting to it, you can put as many barriers in the way but determined people will always get the picture / email / whatever.
