the 1899 rail map shows some interesting things: 1)the Waterloo and City extension to Liverpool Street (unless it's the Central Line, but the Central line took a long time to get there...) 2)the dashed East London Line - Cambridge Heath Link - that would have been useful 3)the dashed lines around the Fulham area.

the 1899 rail map shows some interesting things: 1)the Waterloo and City extension to Liverpool Street (unless it's the Central Line, but the Central line took a long time to get there...) It is the Central Line (or CLR as it was then known). It was originally supposed to run to the Liverpool Street area, but for various reasons it was initially only built to Bank. The overrun and siding tunnels ran quite a bit of the way to Liverpool Street anyway.
