Well, the conversation couldn't really continue in a Picc Line thread, so I've moved it out here. I like routes that go along back streets, so you can find out about rows of shops and pubs off the beaten track (The Jester on the 384 is a good example) and view what domestic London is like. Anyone think the same? Any routes posted here I'll try and ride on them all.

Try the 25 from Euston to Marylebone. Rather daunting ride on a bendybus. Just DON'T SIT AT THE BACK. Like a rollercoaster ride on Blackpool Prom...especially as the bus swings round the roads near Warren Street!

How many have caught fire recently?

Five that I know of. They are correctly called Mercedes Citaro City-Bus... yeah, a bendybus...like, because they b-e-n-d.

Our X66 [Gateshead interchange - Metrocentre] has bendy bus's but I don't think they are Mercedes ones.

Try the 193, Romford (Oldchurch Hospital) to Hornchurch (Essex Gardens), not very far as the crow flies, but great fun in a Merc minibus at speed through some narrow post-war housing estates around Hornchurch (oh yeah - you cross the DR and LTS twice as well)

Bendybuses have been round for ages, but they're "new" to the media and the general population now they've been introduced in London. The Ciatros are nowhere as near as good as the old C-reg ones that used to run round Meadowhell!
