Hi, Can some one help me? For the second time, I have heard a slower, softer and more acoustic version of 'That's Entertainment' by The Jam. It was played on 'Planet Rock', annoyingly, they don't have an e-mail address for general questions. The usual version has a harder feel to it. I'm not an expert on the Jam, I have the greatest hits CD but I would love to get this softer version. Thanks Guys David

Not sure which version you heard, as there are quite a few around There is the demo version of That's Entertainment on the Snap! album and on the 5CD box set. There are also numerous versions floating about of Paul Weller singing it solo, including an acoustic version on the Days Of Speed CD, which was recorded live. Was the version you heard a live recording or a studio recording? I have got most versions that are available (and quite a few that aren't ;D) so I'll see if I can work out which version it is you have heard, and let you know!

I have just listened to the 30sec clip on the Snap! album on Napster, that demo version is the right one, so thank you Solidbond!

Just to update; I have just downloaded the version I want of 'That's Entertainment'. Much better than the version on the 'Greatest Hits' CD. Thanks for your help, Solibond

Ah, if, like me, you hear a favourite tune on the soundbox, but don't know the artist, try this: using your mobile, dial 2580, and wait until you get a recorded message, asking you to point the phone towards the music. As you do this, try to look at the display, because the call will be ended automatically. DO NOT hang up, allow at least 30 seconds. You'll receive a text message with the artist and track title. Works a treat! Cost varies, depending on your network.
