Sorry for this post, but does anyone have any idea about how long this journey'll take:
Liverpool Str > Waterloo
Liverpool Str, onto Circle (Southbound) to Embankment At Embankment, onto Northern to Waterloo.
- The journey planner threw up this:
Liverpool Str, onto Central to Bank At Bank, W&C to Waterloo
However, I wanna get onto as many different lines as I can (something to do, aint it?).
Cheers
Joe

I take it that the objective is to travel between Liverpool Street and Waterloo on all the lines in the central area by as short a route as possible; without travelling on each line more than once and without changing at the same station twice? This is a first idea, which other members may be able to refine further:- Liverpool Street - Barbican (Met or H&C) Barbican - Kings Cross (Met or H&C - Whichever line you did not get on at Liverpool Street) Kings Cross - Euston (Northern - C&SLR branch) Euston - Oxford Circus (Victoria) Oxford Circus - Bond Street (Central) Bond Street - Green Park (Jubilee) Green Park - Piccadilly Circus (Piccadilly) Piccadilly Circus - Charing Cross (Bakerloo) Charing Cross - Embankment (Northern - CXE&H branch) Embankment - Mansion House (District or Circle) Mansion House - Bank (District or Circle - Whichever line you did not get on at Embankment) Bank - Waterloo (Drain) If you want to do it, there is no point in even thinking about a journey time!

rough journey time (my transfer times are complete guesses, based loosly on distance) i'll go for anything between 85 mins and 100 mins. I'd also (to bag all the lines) add a short journey into zone 2 - make sure you change to a circle train at embankment and then change to the district before tower hill, change to the ell at whitechapel, then the DLR at shadwell, taking that to Bank - i would say this gives an addition of about 20mins. Heh - CSLR, all I wanted to know was what the journey time from Liverpool Street to Waterloo was using the Circle and Northern route! ;D
However, that seems like a good idea - what you've suggested - as it'll kill some time tomorrow.

That fits in nicely. Now, as an exercise I tried to see which route would take in all 13 lines visiting the least number of stations and starting or finishing anywhere. I have got it down to 15 stations (including the starting and finishing points). Is it possible to do it in 14?

BTW. I hope you are taking a stop-watch with you tomorrow, then you can tell us how long it takes
