Hope this is the right section to post this in:
I post this from the point of view of a member of LUL staff, in regards to visits behind the scenes, including control centres and also cab rides.
It has got to a point now, especially since the events of 7/7 & 21/7, that LUL management are cracking down on UNOFFICIAL visits for non members of staff, especially those that involve a safety critical environment for example a cab ride.
None of us like having to say no to people when requests come in for visits and cab rides, however if they are allowed to be continued with, and a Duty Manager was to see the visit taking place, the member of staff in question could end up in serious trouble, they could even lose their job.
As I said, none of us like to say no. So that we are not put into a situation that could compromise our positions, please try to refrain from asking us in the first place.
