Whilst I was waiting on the trolley yesterday the nurse and anesthetist were discussing history of all things. English history to be precise. The subject was who was the greatest englishman/woman.
One was of the opinion that it was Enoch Powell. The other that it was Florence Nightingale. They they asked me.! I told them 'Oliver Cromwell' and with that they put me to sleep!!
