I see an item in todays text letters on the TV that someone has invented a town car that runs on WATER.
Well I will give it one week as novelty news value then we'll never hear another word about it

they're more likely to be talking about hydrogen fuel cells where, in simplest terms, water goes in, water vapour comes out...these are a serious future energy source as the raw material is water which is basically ubiquitous and most of the major oil companies are developing them, as the exhaustion of hydrocarbon reserves is well within sight....no-one will be knocking stuff like this when theres no more petrol!!

But extracting Hydrogen from water is not easy and generally requires a big power input, i.e. electricity from coal, nuclear etc.
