Indeed, they were only issued withinj the past year or so! In fact I hope that's not a member of staff advertising that item, as LUL has a team of people who trawl Ebay for LU-related stuff, particularly uniform. If it's found to be a member of staff, they'll be facing the sack.

Oh no!!!! If I knew this would happen I'd never have posted it! Even without this post would the LU people be looking through Ebay anyway?

Yes they do . Putting it here won't make much difference as those that monitor such things have a "close relationship" with ebay anyway.

I have been informed that even without this post on the forum, that the hat would have/probably have been withdrawn anyway. It reminds me of something I saw a few months ago - an entire pre 1999 uniform! It had 2 shirts, 2 trousers, a blazer, a jumper, a hi - viz, a cap and 2 'Metropolitan Line' ties. I put a bid on just for the ties!! Unsurprisingly enough the auction didn't last very long.

I've seen those 'aircraft carrier' style hats on eBay. I've never felt the urge to dress up as a tube driver though ;D

I remember seeing a Hi-Vi and a belt on E-bay once, was removed within hours of going up, despite there being a number of bids on the items.

If you're refering to Hi-Vi's, I have three!, also got FIVE J keys, three RKL220's, a selection of 'Irons' from the 59's [three sets, including the Guards Position Key], and a key to access the TMS Level 2 for the 95's.
Not saying exactly how I came by such amounts of keys, except to say its always wise checking cupboards at T 'n' P points...
I also have two beanies. [as the chavs seem to call them]

There was a 38TS and a 59TS selector key on there a little while ago, but I think the auction ran it's full course. Do the 1960 Track Recording Train and 1962's used in departmental use still operate with the original keys?
