Eastbound from Bethnal Green to Mile End some of the track is horrible! It's really noisy. Is it just knackered? Have they stopped using CWR down there? Does anyone know when it's up for renewal?

That section is pretty bad, and wasn't renewed as part of the Central's upgrade project (why??). It's not much better on the westbound either.

Noticed the other day they've rerailed the WB platform at Stratford but with bullhead rails.

I have noticed that some other sections of the network have been upgraded but with bullhead rail-is this connected with a clearence/gauging issue?

Surprisingly, this Bethnal Green - Mile End EB is already better than it was a year ago! The noise has gone down and the sideways jerking motion just before coming into Mile End has been reduced.
