Some of us were on the last train - and though someone else will claim to be the last passenger to leave, I was the last person to get off a train and leave the station!
(Confession time: I didn't leave as a passenger, because I had to decommission the PACs. I then had to go on to Holland Park and change the EPROM in the WB PAC to enable non-stopping of Shepherd's Bush.)

Does anyone know if the Central Line car line diagrams will reflect the 8 month close ?

I suspect that there will be stickers over the station informing of its closure - ISTR this is what happened for Regents Park.

Heh, I wasn't suggesting that you blocked the doorway; I was just stating it's purpose in case anyone asked!

Some of it may come out through that doorway, but I guess the 'front entrance' may be more suitable for bigger bits of unwanted stuff...
I wonder what will happen to all of the stone from the building... looks very nice. I hope they keep some of it, incase repairs are needed to the surviving stations, like Holland Park. Better to have original, than stuff made now to look old [and out of place]

Already happened "Closed for modernisation until mid October 2008" (btw, what's up with the lighting at NHG? It has the ambience of one of those public toilets where the council's screwed with the lights so that the druggies can't find their veins)

Two things:
1. Can't they program the trains to non stop from Wood Lane control centre?
2. NHG platforms have been dimly lit for ages now - they look very dingy indeed!

I believe the station frontage was indeed dismantled and preserved.

Wood Lane station front, was indeed taken down to be preserved, with an idea for later re-erecting at Acton Museum...
Regarding Notting Hill, I am led to understand its a local probelm re power supply, or it might just be lower wattage bulbs everywhere...
