I was recently watching a documentary about parties when they mentioned that on saturday nights at 12am a group take up one carriage where they basically party....only on the central line. if this is the case then how come no drivers or any station staff are aware.

I wonder if they travel from their home to pick up this train, and return or whether they continue their party on a night bus? I would have thought Midnight would be a risky time to hold a train party if you wanted to get home that night.........................

Perhaps Metronet BCV simply doesn't want to install the anti-fun sensors that Metronet SSL has on the Circle Line - I believe these sensors are used to detect the Circle Line Party and provide info on where to send the plod to break it up.

Well I do......I like my bed too much! Not much to see at WER or EPP at 1am either..............
Also I don't think any night buses go there. I don't think a night bus does Hainault either.

The Circle Line party attracts police attention because they advertise it online. If someone organises a party on the tube and is a bit more discreet, then they might get away with it!

Northolt is also on the N140 (or 24 hr 140 - I don't know), Harrow and Wealdstone - Heathrow.

A little off topic but reminds me of the special Halloween parties Japan Railways organise in Tokyo, where a train goes around Tokyo's circle line full of revellers!
I only came to know of this after seeing videos on YouTube!

see thats another thing these night buses only take most of the b roads so can cause some problems if they dont go down a road near your house. like my nearest night bus stop is on uxbridge road hanwell side which is still another bus ride away which results in either walking or getting cab. Not that i care as i dont go out much in evening.

From experience the last trains never had anything resembling a party carriage. Although a doner kebab carriage would've gone down very well with myself and fellow station staff.

I've not heard of it on the Central, but the Circle lines ones certainly take place, they make an evening of it too ! Apparantly the car is decorated with balloons and coloured plastic put over the light tubes ! Some drivers get huffy and take the train out of service. Personally I'd be quiet happy to drive a train with the party taking place ;D I was listening to the train radio a few months back as one was taken out of service at Sloane Square though in that case the revellers were holding open the car doors and causing a delay

Years ago one of the CLPs got stopped and was allowed to carry on if the coloured gels were taken off the light tubes, because it was against health and saftey.

The last offical CLP was in 2004 I believe (no I wasn't on it before you ask! ;D), but I'm pretty sure there could still be spin-offs of it though.
