How long are the central line trains?
I thought they were all 8 cars long with no break (one long train istead of two joined together like older stocks), rather like the 95 and 96 stock.
I ask this because last thursday evening, while travelling on the Central line, I saw what looked to be a cab end in the middle of the train... at Leytonstone?

Yes, they are made up of 4x2 car units.. and thus can be spilt as required, for maintenance purposes. A DM in the middle is not very common, but does happen *occasionally*...
The 95ts are made up of 2x3 car units, again, can be split... theres a mini driving panel under one of the seats.
