Was at West Ruislip Rail station on Sunday waiting for a train and noticed by the Fixed Red Lights at the end of the platform there were some end of engineering flashing yellow lights. Why were they there? No trains can go passed them as they were at the buffers. It doesn't seem to make sense. Also slightly off subject last week I saw the Tunnel Cleaning Train (3 car) outside the sheds looking clean and ready for use (and in metronet colours). Have they manged to get it working?

Those TSLM's have been there, flashing away for some time now. At least 4 months! I can remember them being there in August!
They were probably put there for the engineering works we've been having on successive weekends up that way, for the engineers trains to enter the station slowly... Been having intermittent trouble with those stop lights recently, they've been going on and off for some reason, perhaps faulty cables, or than darned mouse has been having another feast!
