We were receiving some donated track this Wednesday just gone at the EOR. Amazingly when we got there some Metronet people were packing up their chainsaws and other equipment! They had a Work Order to cut foliage either side of the line starting from North Weald heading towards Epping. When we questioned the supervisor he said that's what he'd been told to do, he didn't care as he was getting paid for it, but he did notice the lack of 3rd and 4th rail!
So, who at Metronet is stuck in the past then? Not that I much care, let them get on with it! ;D

Perhaps the present owners, asked them to do it, or it was part of a training programme to the staff there....

Hmm....it certainly wasn't sanctioned by EORVS. That leaves EOR Ltd., but they would normally tell us (EORVS) about something like that going on. Strange....

Give them any excuse and they'd raze half of Epping Forest down to the ground too.
