Does it particularly wind you up if you've had a clear(ish) run from A to B one way, and when you change ends, the whole journey is b*ggered?
Or do you just accept it, and realise you're gonna be starting and stopping at red signals for the rest of the journey?

Well, that depends! If I'm hoping to finish on time because I have something to do after work, then it's annoying if it all goes tits up on the last bit. Usually I'm quite philosophical - after all, we do get overtime.

Like adw say's - depends on the circumstances. But it's certainly more annoying when you're due to get off the train.

As ADW and Colin have said, for a professional driver the ONLY journey that matters is the one where you come off. Anything that happens before that is just part of a day's. work. 2 1/2 hrs in ECT platform 4? No problem, you're getting paid for it.
I don't think the public realise the mind change in being a professional driver, road or rail. Annoyances, delays, jams just don't affect the paid man (unless he's having a bad day anyway).
