Does anyone know what year Leyton signal box disappeared?
Was it rebuilt somewhere else or demolished?

I know the signal box was opened in 1899. When the underground took over - they had to move back the signal box a few inches to make room for the westbound of the Central Line. One website gives full details but don't know when it closed. It must have been when they stopped running the staff train to Stratford from Epping?

Okay found the answer. It was demolished in the late 1990'.

Leyton signalbox ('LE') was closed in 1971 when the BR connection was removed.

Curiously enough, it was not removed immediately after closure, as it contained the ETDs used to clear the old junction signal for the route to Stratford via the tunnels.
