What is Acton works being used for at the moment?. Would it be possable to use it for a train body/interior care depot, as the the line depots only maintain the technical side of the trains and not inside the cars. This would solve things like the 1992ts seats which are terrible and the C stocks paint job which is looking worn.Thay could send each train there every one to two years for a compleat interior clean, seat moquette replacment and a body repaint. Then they would not need to send the new stock for a interior refurbishment every 10 years but could go back to half life referbishment like the 1967/72 1973 A C and D stock's.

One thing it's used for is training Emergency Response Unit staff - they have a unit of 1972 stock there to play with - re-railing, jacking up, putting on skates etc.
