In the mid eighties, when the Central first used its present numbering system the Hainault-Ealings were numbered 1 to 23 and the Epping-Ruislips were numbered 31 to 47.This stayed like that until the introduction of 92TS,now it's the other way round Hainault-Ealings are now 41 to 76 and Epping-Ruislips are 1 to 33.Does anyone know why they were changed round?
