Upon arriving at Ealing Broadway earlier today, I noticed that the train in platform 6, despite displaying an in-service T/D for White City, was quite clearly out of service - not only was the DM full of Metronet people and interesting kit, but the front of the train had a video camera attached to the detrainment door with a liberal amount of duck tape.
Confusion reigned as WoodLanePhil's buddies left it sitting there whilst an in-service train waited on platform 5 and a terminator waited at EAB 2058 (?). Eventually train 201 took off, the terminator pulled in to platform 6 and left first - to my surprise, as I hopped onto it.
Was this train connected with any track works in White City depot, or was it just doing DEVs for training purposes?

Why is it that summat exciting ALWAYS happens while I am on annual leave???
Might be summat to do with the surveying for a possible TRP between EAB and NOA.

TRP?
If that means what I think it means, it's about time IMO...

Sounds like an Audio Visual Inspection run.

Sounds like an Audio Visual Inspection run. Considering what t/op92 just mentioned, combined with the lovely aural symphony that all travelers between EAB and NOA experience, I hope that track replacement is on the cards.

Sounds like an Audio Visual Inspection run. Wouldnt have thought so as there has been no TTNs for a Central Line AVI.
