Does anyone have an update on the Central Line Park Royal Station Project? My understanding is that planning permission for the Guinness site was tied in to the new station. AlwaysTouchOut is an excellent resource for this sort of thing, but seems to have gone very quiet on the subject. Thanks.

The last I heard was that the costs of the development ahve increased a few fold. In addition LU have made an extra train as a condition of the new station. So we have the possibility of a new 92ts being built (no!!!!!!!!!)
The strange thing about the National Rail station, is that I was informed that "Someone from Chiltern Rail" was done at Hanger Lane station, about 2-3 months back, taking photographs of the NR side of Hanger Lane.

There was a Scheme Plan for Park Royal produced by Westinghouse in 1998 but the plan is currently marked up as 'not current'.

Hmm. I had understood (but may be mistaken) that there was a Section 106 (Planning) Agreement in place- ie Planning permission for the site was dependent on the developers agreeing to fund/ build the new station. I've uploaded a ropey scan of the new station site. It wouldn't be a particularly easy interchange with the Piccadilly line anyway!

But I also believe that the developers are claiming poverty and are trying to 'adjust' the planning approval.
