A couple of times now I've gone through Northolt on the westbound line, and noted that there appears to be a speed restriction between the w/b platform head ramp and a point about 125 yards east of NOR 1553 (I think it's 1553 - the two-aspect controlled signal with the box).
Is this purely to do with the nasty state of the track in that area?

AFAIK , yes, think there was a defect on the running rail, should now have been sorted,

I Stand Corrected, The NOR-SOR WB 38kph TSR is still in place, being listed as a " Cat 1 A Rail Defect " whoever she is !!!
Runs from BMBs 1514 to 1520 apprantly.
Also similar TSRs into and out of West Ruislip due to same problem, worryingly. theres no est fix date shown on my little list as of yet.
