Interesting article in the Daily Express today about ghosts on the underground. It mentions Aldgate, Covent Garden, Farringdon, Bank, South Kensington, Highgate and Elephant & Castle.
Are there any other stories out there about ghosts on the system?

Aldwych is supposed to be haunted as well, if you believe in such things.

Aldwych is supposed to be haunted as well, if you believe in such things. Bearing in mind what happened during the war; Bethnel Green and Balham should be pretty high on the haunted list, but they never seem to appear.

Apparently Dagenham East and Mansion House are both "very strong" ghost-type stations. One of the Station Supervisors I know up at the east end of the District is very much into ghost hunting etc, and he's had the professional ghost-busters in to his station! (His blog is here and the particular post of interest about ghost-busting is archived in his December 05 blogs (scroll right down to the 3rd December) . I'll reproduce the blog here (I'm sure my colleague won't mind, as long as you visit his blog!!) "Last day of my leave from work, and I’ve just about become a normal person again.
As I promised, I now have the time to blog about my visit to Mansion House the other day.
I don’t know if you’re aware, or if I have told you this before, but I’ll tell you again, I am a trainee medium or clairvoyant, and have been invited to join a group of like-minded people from London Underground.
So, the other Saturday we met at Mansion House, for another interesting Physic Investigation.
I haven’t been to Mansion House Station for a long time, and as I entered the station I notice how pressing the atmosphere was. Not in a nasty way just abit uncomfortable. We booked in with the Station Supervisor, had a brew and then stated out on our investigation.
The first place was the station platforms. Here I “picked up” on a well to-do gentleman, who unfortunately had an accident on the station. He fell under a train, I got the feeling that he was pushed.
Next and bit further along the platform, both myself and another Medium Richard, picked up on an incident that occurred during WW2, a bomb penetrated the station roof. This in turn caused a major panic, and in the ensuing rush to leave the station, a small boy became separated from his parents and was sadly crushed and killed in the push.
We then entered a part of the station that is closed off to the general public, here we all sense at all was not well. I was unable to explain how I felt, but I was not at all happy being where I was.
I insisted that we left this area and outside in the platform area we carried out a séance, again the small lad came forward and we were able o send him on his way, and reunited him with his parents.
After another smoke break, we re-entered the station but I did notice that the atmosphere was a lot lighter, and not at all “heavy”, the presence of the small boy had also gone !!
I am waiting for a copy of the photographs, which were taken, and so orbs, ands as soon as they arrive I will post the best for you all to see.
I do realise however that by now either you share similar beliefs as myself, or you might need a bit of convincing, I also except that some of you now think that I’m completely barking mad.
Please, as I say to other people, I respect your views, please respect mine.
Next Station to check out is going to be Temple, sometime in the New Year.
So if you feel or see anything unusual at Temple, or Mansion House you know why!Just what I wanted to know! I'm always on edge when I'm going through the corridors heading to the toilets on the eastbound since I read that!
