i have seen a picture of the mock-up in the book "underground train file - tube stock 1933-1959" (page 88)

i have seen a picture of the mock-up in the book "underground train file - tube stock 1933-1959" (page 88) Quite possibly you have Aldwych but it was probably taken in 1950/51. They nearly always build a mock up in plywood to try out ideas. There was a mock up for a 1956 surface stock also.
