Was this door in the Northern, Jubilee, or Northern Line part of the station? "TRAF" may refer to Trafalgar Square.

So you clever lot, how about communicating direct with Aldwych in his own language and sort him out - obviously his English is nowhere near as good as ikar's.

it´s the former Trafalgar Square station. the entry to the jubilee line entry (today a door) in the near of the entry to the jubilee is a "normal" door, behind of this door is a steel door. this concourse (Jubilee Line) is on the "Trafalgar square" of this side! this is the steel Door (i hope you can see the details!) i have filmed on this station -> for filming the Door - i have used the night shot function! greetings Dennis

Above the door was a bell, when the bell rung the Station Inspector would open the door with a key, on the other side was another door which was opened by Post Office Telephone staff. There was a 3rd Door which the Post Office Telephone Staff would never open when the London Transport staff had opened the door which led onto the station. When I asked what was behind the 3rd door I was told it was Top Secret

Entschuldigung T/op92, aber ich sage muss dass ich sehr konfuziert bin. Prachtvoll!!! Ahem, sorry guys, that means excellent... They say English is the most difficult language to learn... this could be true when you look at some of our words; they sound the same, but are spelt differently... I'll try to use less european languages in future. [Tries hard not to sign off this post with Poland in mind]

The reason was because we have a member from Germany on here now!!! As other members will undoubtedly be aware, I'm always going to Germany for my holidays. But, next time, I've promised myself to go to Poland instead... Do widzenia!!!

Do widzenia?? That polish for..... goodbye? I could all lapse into (poor) Russian, but no doubt Dmitri would correct me on literally every sentence .

[not joking either]

And at that point (Q8's post) I think that's all that can be said on that subject.
Once again, no harm in asking so long as you don't mind being cut off dead.
