Any of you living near the tube and with a video camera who venture out in the snow [if you have any] would probably get some good shots of arcing and sparking during the evening. Especially if there are gaps in the service.

I was hoping for it to Snow yesterday but unfortunately none has yet to fall. For Christmas I got a *Tripod and a couple of other goodies to help with my Photography and I am thinking of taking shots of LUL Trains in the snow if the weather does bring us a wintry scene. * = I am aware LUL does not permit Tripods on their premises, I know quite a few good line-side locations around the network where a Tripod would be useful and would not be in the way of anything or anyone and I would only use it at these locations and no where on London Underground property.

You be careful Chris if you are going to lug a tripod around. If the brain-dead chav's see you with it they know you have a camera and then may try and get it from you!

Of course the tripod would then be useful to wallop the aforementioned chavs with .

While looking at insurance premiums for my new toy, I came across this paragraph Well a tripod is an item of photographic equipment Seriously though, you should check that you (or your parents) have adequate cover in the event of a mishap. Most household policies have cover for items taken outside the home, although the limit varies. I'm probably going to have to go for a separate, specific policy, as I'm probably living away from my parents home for rather too long at a time, and having everything I own covered anywhere in the country on my student policy is probably a little over the top.

Our learned colleague Mr Q8 has fallen into that dream world again. The one where, after a small dusting of white stuff, the country carries on as usual albeit with a few slips or slides here and there and maybe the odd spark.
What a land that must be. In my area over the last few days we have had less snow than the dusting my mum put on her mince pies, yet there is a small amount of chaos. Even Kent didn't look too bad on the news - I could still see the tops of the blades of grass.
I also caught a chunk on the news about how we have been preparing for the weather (that's this nasty cold winter we were warned about if you remember) and can be ready to de-ice the network at just 24 hours notice. Did make me chuckle as it used to only take a couple of hours to get ready.
Sorry, should have visited the rant section first. Can make for some good piccies though ;D

You leave me alone in my own little dream world. Which is full of fantasy's and fables and I am full of wind. The land where District line trains run end to end on time in order and without trains from Pink and yellow lines getting in the way. The land where signal controllers answer phones with a polite 'Yes your Majesty' The land where the travellers are sweetness and light itself. The land where the only things thrown at train drivers are kisses. The land where the only things to fail are failures. Well..............I'm happy in it anyway. ;D ;D ;D P.S. At the moment it's snowing like a b*stard in my land

The land where signal controllers answer phones with a polite 'Yes your Majesty' Nearly choked on my last mince pie ;D I'll go along with a lot that is in your world, but to conjure up that image must have taken something highly illegal ;D

To be precise morphine! As I have a fourth bout of Pleurisy and the pain of that is excruciating, the stuff I was given had a morphine content.
This has kept me happily 'afloat' for several days. But has now run out and I am on antibiotics. No pain except in my ear which has an abcess.
