Are there places on the underground where there aren't repeaters to warn the driver if the next signal is red?
I ask this question because a friend was driving the Picc BVE route and informed me that he SPAD'ed 4 times because a repeater was not provided between signals.

Are there places on the underground where there aren't repeaters to warn the driver if the next signal is red? Yeah, of course. Repeaters are only provided where there isnt insufficient sighting time. For example of a signal is round a corner, there will be a repeater. If there is a straight bit of track and the signals can be seen for miles, there is no need for a repeater. This doesnt always follow.....
