Question - So we all get bored as mentioned on a recent thread but who sings to themselves or whistles or whatever you do would you share your passings of time on the front with us? Me I sing I whistle I talk to myself but I don't have the light on because the bloke in front ( my reflection ) sometimes answers back. And also the because we have so much time on our hands do you think it is dangerous with say a problem outside of the job etc that you bring it onto the front and gets too distracting, how many of you have had this happen? and the consequences please

I usually sing. Those who know me will be aware that I have possibly the worst singing voice in the history of man, but I don't care! I like to have a sing, and it's usually a song which someone has been whistling in the messroom or something which I can't get out of my head!
I always have the light on in the tunnel sections so I have to be careful about singing when a train is coming the other way so they don't think I'm talking to myself! ;D
On a serious note regarding your last paragraph, I've often had a lot of problems when I come to work, but I've never been distracted enough to lose concentration, although I sometimes have to fight against my thoughts (if that makes sense!)
Only once have I had to book off sick when I'd rang my missus on my meal break and found out she'd been beaten up by a gang of local chavs. There's no way I could concentrate on the job after that.

and found out she'd been beaten up by a gang of local chavs. Was she OK? So if you sing too loudly can the people sitting next to the cab hear? And maybe even join in?!

solo2.abac.com/themole/#heroesIf you scroll down a bit there's an audio clip on this page of a Jubilee Line driver who is talking to his passengers on the PA to pass the time, pretty hilarious!! I spent ages reading the rest of the PA's, really funny.

Thanks chaps, yeah she was shaken up and a bit sore, but otherwise fine. I dare say people sitting behind the cab will hear me when I get carried away! I'm sure I don't need to mention our Wimbledon run again do I?! ;D
