I wonder if anyone will actually use these ;D When it was still First, they tried them out on Great Eastern, and they were quite succesful, i dont know why they didnt adopt it. On LUL thought, it might be different as late at night everyone would have one on, so who would actually wake someone up to get off ?

New version of an old idea. Would probably only work after say 2200 when the trains are begining to empty out: otherwise good old british reserve thinks 'let someone else do it'

Perhaps they should do ones with a blank space, so you can write your own stop in before you get totally mashed.
If you T/Ops out there ever find someone whose passed out on your train, try the old age trick: Bang yer J Key on the glass draft-screen, or on a grab pole nearby.

The observant amongst you who have met me in a 'work environment' may have noted that I carry a whistle (an Acme Thunderer - I'm not joking!!) which I have found to be another useful means of waking slumbering (slumbering = pi$$ed) 'customers' when even the J door key trick has failed. For those of us on older stocks the Control and Reverser keys are actually preffered to the J door key though! Oh - how I miss dead late tip outs (not!)......

Ah Yes, the good old Acme Thunderer Whistle. Gauranteed to wake anything up. I have one, bequeathed to me by my grandad.

During the crew days a Driver I ran with upon finding a drunk fast asleep at Upminster used to get me to shine the Bardic whilst flicking it on and off in the drunks face whilst he bashed the rubbish out of the draft screen they were leaning against, It eventually woke them up ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Quite effective and if i could hold a Bardic and flash it at the same time as well as using the J key then i would do the same now ;D ;D

When neccessary, I use the first aid technique of pinching the ear - if that fails, which is rare, I put on a pair of rubber gloves and.................. No you dirty minded lot ;D ;D I physically remove them onto the platform - I don't finish late for anyone!! ;D ;D ;D

No wonder all the punters who you turf off your trains always have a smile on their face! ;D Keep the rubber gloves on, Colin... You'll need 'em for the mods job here!
