It's too soon to say. The purpose of the current work is to identify what options exist to provide step-free access and then to determine which of those options is the best (based on various criteria including costs, ease of construction, benefits delivered, etc). Reusing the Piccadilly line lift shafts will almost certainly be one of the options considered, but until it and all the others have been evaluated no decision can be made.

For forty years they have been planning enhancements to South Kensington and the air space above.
I been watching Nightsleeper on BBC and had to google earth Victoria as it has changed so much (not been there for 15/20 years). I thought the tv images were computer generated skyscrapers. But no.

The current station, with escalators replacing lifts, was part of a scheme for an over-station development which fell through. So that must be about 50 years back!
