<<Thread moved from Jubilee line - goldenarrow>>
Prior to the jubilee line, were there two northbound or two southbound platforms for the bakerloo? I believe only one of the platforms was built new for the jubilee and I think it's the northbound jubilee. This would have meant two southbound platforms for the bakerloo (as the layout on the southbound is at present).
So when coming down the stairs where you currently turn left for southbound jubilee and right for southbound bakerloo, this would have meant passengers would have to play guesswork over which bakerloo line train would leave first prior to the jubilee?
In addition, are the points at which there are connections between each line (one from the bakerloo to jubilee northbound and the other from the jubilee to bakerloo southbound) be the points at where the branches previously split off and joined up?

So when coming down the stairs where you currently turn left for southbound jubilee and right for southbound bakerloo, this would have meant passengers would have to play guesswork over which bakerloo line train would leave first prior to the jubilee? To answer these two questions. I recall that there was a "This train first" sign with arrows to each platform. As I was a teenager when the Jubilee line opened, I cannot recall more precise details. In addition, are the points at which there are connections between each line (one from the bakerloo to jubilee northbound and the other from the jubilee to bakerloo southbound) be the points at where the branches previously split off and joined up? Yes! The only new tunnels were southbound: from just before the junction between the two branches. Northbound: after the new Northbound Jubilee line platform, with the Bakerloo line branch between Baker Street and St John's Wood, as shown in Harsig 's excellent diagram.
