25Yrs since JLE opening Stratford-North Greenwich

When the section from North Greenwich to Stratford first opened the Line Control and Signalling was from temporary desks in the Stratford Market Deport control tower as the Neasden Control Centre was not finished.

I remember travelling on that 'pre-opening' service.

I never quite understood the ticket gates at Stratford, especially as anyone who wanted to dodge their fare could switch to the North London line at either West Ham or Canning Town.
