This morning, there are four locations to identify. As well as this, you will need to work out which is the odd one out, and why. You may need to work as a team with this, or you might just spring it immediately. As usual, the pictures are names; A, B, C and D for ease. *Click on any image for a larger version*

A is Waterloo and D is Stratford. Not sure about B - although it does look like Kings Cross near the Pentonville Road exit. My only guess for C would be somewhere on the Eastern End of the Central.
No idea on the link between them at the moment.

A is the Waterloo arrivals platform, B is also reminiscent of Waterloo.

1. Waterloo W&C, 2. Possibly Waterloo B'loo but not sure, 3. reminds me of the ELL, an4 4. prob JLE. Thinking along the lines of proximity to depots and sidings at the minute. Probably miles away though.

Hmm. I'm thinking along the lines of interchanges with either the OvergrounD or NR lines.......
C looks like one of the New Crosses - possibly NX Gate - the bluish/grey ironwork colour is all over the Southeastern network.
If so that would put A built by the LSWR, C by the LBSC - if B is a Bakerloo station could it be on the bit that was funded by the GWR?

I'm pretty sure C is Barking - building between platforms 1 (Overground) and 2 (E/B District).

I've not seen an exclamation mark on an LU help point... so that suggests C is overground or NR. Possibly somewhere on the DC/Bakerloo lines?
Also it's obviously steps up to the platform at B... that narrows it down a bit...

They all took over a National Rail section- - W&C took over from BR in 1994
- King's Cross Midland City entrance was taken over by LU when FCC left.
- If ELL it has been taken over from the Main Line railways
D - Stratford is the the odd one out because the platforms weren't previously British Railways but were built on a BR site.

I'll go along with MarkP in thinking that C is Barking. I'm pretty sure I pass it on my travels. Between platform 1 and 2 if I am not mistaken.
As for B, i think that is on the Picadilly Line and I'll go with Kings Cross.
Not sure on A and D and a wild stab in the dark is that they are all shared with Overground stations.

I'm going for: A - Waterloo B - ? C - Barking D - Stratford Odd one out? B! The three I've got have National Rail services, and B dosen't look too likely to have them, so that's the road I'm going down........ Hmm..........looking at B again, I'm drawn towards the Northern line .........

Between everyone, the locations have been correctly identified; Station A: Waterloo - W&C depot from arrival platform [Robster] Station B: Finsbury Park interchange passage. [Chris M] Station C: Barking - platforms 1 and 2 from a GOBLIN train [Chris M] Station D: Stratford - emergency exit bridge from DLR [Chris M] *Click any image for a larger version* Thus far, no-one has the "odd one out" answer we are looking for, so will leave this running for now.

They are all at the end of the line except Finsbury Park which was once the end of the Piccadily Line until 1932.

Hmm, theres the slightly too obvious one.. in that you won't see any tube stock at Barking but you will at all the others...

Hmm, theres the slightly too obvious one.. in that you won't see any tube stock at Barking but you will at all the others... They all have OHLE on the station apart from Waterloo ;D All the stations were run by BR but were transferred to LU apart from Barking which is still run by C2C.

Finsbury Park is the only one not to have UTS gates?
I was also going to say that Waterloo is the odd one out as it has no bus station outside, but I dont think Barking has either!

Its not related to electricity, UTS gates, buses or tube stock.

Could the odd one out be Barking?
The reason being that you cant change onto more than one other underground line at all times (Waterloo - Bakerloo, Northern and Jubilee, Stratford, Jubilee and Central, Frinsbury Park-Victoria and Picadilly). At Barking you can only change onto the District at all times and the H&C doesnt run there at all times/everyday.

It is to do with interchanges, but the time of day isn't important

Another theory is that Frinsbury Park is the odd one out. The reason being all the have 4 interchanges each (Barking C2C, Dis, H&C and GOBLIN, Waterloo-Jub, Baker, Northern and South West Trains, Startford-Central, DLR, NLL and One), where as Frinsbury Park only has 3 (Vic, Pic and FCC)

Good thinking, but you've forgotten the Waterloo and City Line at Waterloo and the Jubillee and occasional c2c trains at Stratford.

Is it cross platform interchanges (waterloo being the odd station out)?

Waterloo is the odd station out, but not for that reason.

Waterloo W&C was merged to interchange with other lines in 1994 after the transfer to LU and Waterloo has a moving walk way ;D

Waterloo does have a moving walkway, but this is not the answer I'm looking for. Think geographically.
