On behalf of the London Transport Museum's Q stock project, I'm trying to find out who owns the derelict CP stock DM car 54256 that is stored on a farm in Essex. We would like to use some of the parts from the car to replace items which are missing from our Q38 stock and which will be very complex to fabricate from scratch. The car is currently in poor and deteriorating condition so ideally we'd like to access it as soon as possible, before it is beyond use to us.
We know the exact location of the car but I won't post it here to avoid anyone with ill-intent finding it. If you know who the owner is, how to contact them, or have any info that would help us track them down, please do let us know. I'm happy to share my LTM email address by DM if you'd rather use that.
This is a relatively recent photo of the car. If no info is forthcoming via social media, we'll see if the land registry can at least identify the owner of the farm it's on.
