Can anyone confirm that there was indeed a door next to the erstwhile W.H. Smith's kiosk, which led from the outer rail (down) platform to either St. Ermin's Hill or Hotel? Many years ago my mother took me to the Model Railway Exhibition at the Horticultural Halls and I can still remember the kiosk in operation. I want to believe (memory!!) newsprint was delivered from the passage behind the hotel at the back of the WB platform.
