The Standard are reporting that for World Pasta Day on 25 October, five stations will be temporarily renamed: Farringdon → Farfallingdon Clapham Junction → Claphamellini Fulham Broadway → Fusilli Tooting → Tootelloni Camden Town → Camdenlloni Town www.standard.co.uk/news/london/world-pasta-day-2023-free-evangelists-london-tube-stations-b1114817.htmlI've not found any details on how extensive the rebranding will be (e.g. will be like Burberry Street, just a single roundel or something in between?), but I'm hoping it's not very as most of those names are not at all obvious for even familiar travellers. |

Not sure why Tooting is on the list - that is nothing to do with TfL. Maybe they mean Bec or Broadway? Plus Clapham Junction is a Network Rail station.

I think it's a sad indication of the value put on London's Underground when it is left with such gimmicks to raise funds for essential maintenance of the system.

Clapham Junction is served by London Overground, so it's not impossible something could be arranged for platforms 1 and/or 2, and it's also not impossible that they mean High Street, Common, North or South rather than Junction. |

I was hoping to get out and see these stations today, but that didn't happen for various reasons. goldenarrow reported elsewhere that they didn't see any evidence of renaming at Farringdon, so perhaps this was just dodgy reporting? |

Well, when it comes to advertising, they've gone somewhat schizoid. I mean no pictures of cake yet they have cake concessions at a number of stations e.g. London Bridge, no cheese because it's unhealthy but filled/stuffed pasta (tortellini I presume) is OK, ban junk food advertising but not junk food consumption, ban alcohol consumption but not alcohol advertising, gambling and crypto currency speculation is acceptable as are rip-off snake-oil "medicines"...

It's funny how "Ragu" is pronounced the same as "Ragout", and "Rag out" means both "dress up" and to "tell off/scold/dissaprove".
Well I find it funny anyway.
