Why cant westbound trains carry passengers even as far as West Brompton, or even better Fulham Broadway?
If its a question of needing staff to oversee detrainment then surely this could be arranged, especially in the rush hours?

Available station staff would be the problem, at full complement Earl’s Court can divert staff to the platform whenever a terminating train arrives.

I don't know about West Brompton or Fulham specifically, but LU is not generally awash with spare station staff these days.

As Parsons Green is my local station, I welcome the fact we now see more Parsons Green terminators at times of disruption. However, the 'tipping out'process is very slow, with each carriage usually checked and closed in turn by the driver or station staff. This blocks following trains back quite a way, often to West Brompton almost. I'd say four minutes is the average time from the cases I've seen that the terminating train is stationary if in the evening peak. Depending on where it's parking, can block up and down lines also. Parsons Green is not a wide platform either, and I often find it's easier to walk through the terminating train than on the platform to exit the station if in the front carriages. Hence, I can see the logic of using the wider platforms and extra staff of a major station like Earls Court, or even Fulham Broadway with a wider platform due to football crowds.

Have the porter buttons been replaced via the TMS on the S stock?

Setup via TCMS screen, turning all passenger door-open buttons (internal and external) into ‘this car close’ buttons, so just 7 or 8 button pushes to fully close train.

Available station staff would be the problem, at full complement Earl’s Court can divert staff to the platform whenever a terminating train arrives. Even if there was some staff available at Parsons Green would be tricky to timetable (incorporating enough stand time there for detrainment) without seriously uneven intervals

The Earl’s Court to Barking service will leave empty from Earls Court and enter service at Gloucester Road eastbound.

I doubt it will they will more than likely reverse West to East from platform 3 at Earls court with the through services using platform 4 this prevents blocking back occuring getting into earls court.

The Barking-Earl’s Court service is booked to use platform 3 and run empty back to Gloucester Road, also the Barking-Parsons Green trains will use platform 3 and depart empty to Parsons Green, so detrainment staff are likely to be in use.

I assume that the Piccadilly line will be running normally.
However, because of 'improvements' (sic) related to District Line automation it is no longer possible for Piccadilly line trains to travel on District line tracks ... which explains the replacement buses. But, will Piccadilly line trains be calling at Turnham Green? If so, all day?
From reading the bus info earlier on this page, it seems that the Overground's North London Line will also be closed Willesden Junction - Richmond. especially on Sunday.

Piccadilly trains will be operating normally and will serve Turnham Green station at the usual times.
Indeed Sunday 29th no LO service Willesden-Richmond

What if you are a passenger travelling to West Kensington on those days (which I usually am) from the east? Pic from Earl's Court to Barons Court and walk the Talgarth Road? I don't mind that

Personally I’d walk via Baron’s Court Road

Yeah, The journey planner says go to HSK and take the 28 bus from there. Barons Court Road it is then! Thanks for the advice, A much more quieter and nicer road to walk down

I had meant to post this a week ago. On the Friday 27th October, I was travelling from Cannon Street to East Putney. I had to change at Earls Court, and noticed that a "Stops Here" train was due to arrive just after my Wimbledon train was leaving and that there was a second Wimbledon train about 4 minutes after the first one. So I caught the first one and got off at Parsons Green. Sure enough an empty train (033) then arrived at Parsons Green but then it sat in the platform for three or four minutes. I noticed that the driver walked through the train, back to at least the fifth car, before returning to the cab and then taking the train into one of the sidings. The following Wimbledon train was sitting behind the terminating train for some while.
A couple of weeks before I had been on a Parsons Green terminator and even though the train was not crowded, it took some time for everyone to be cleared from the train before it moved off. This wasn't helped by the platform DMI having changed from "Terminates Here" to "Wimbledon" while the terminating train was sill in the platform, so two or three people jumped on the train.
I can see why the decision was made to run out of service from Earl's Court.
