Back in the loco-hauled day, how did the Chesham branch set get back to Neasden every week? Was a Met electric loco used to haul it back or a BR ot LT steam loco?

Both, steam to Rickmansworth and then Electric Loco to Neasden.

WTT 167 dated 17th June 1957 shows that the change over was done early Sunday am. The set stabled at Chesham formed the first departure at 7.23am running passenger to Wembley Park thence to Neasden Depot. The other set formed the 7.32 Wembley Park to Chesham. The steam loco propelled the set from Rickmansworth.
