This weekend's work in the Earl's Court area has left me very confused. The platform indicators at both Wimbledon and Putney Bridge show all trains as going to Edgware Road. The trains themselves say Earl's Court. A Journey Planner search suggests they are terminating at West Brompton. Search for King's Cross and it says change at West Brompton for a Rail Replacement Bus to Earl's Court where you take the Piccadilly.
There isn't even a simple sign by the ticket barriers saying all trains go to Earl's Court this weekend. The catch all poster requires you to know how the District Line works.

Trains from Wimbledon are terminating at Earl’s Court.
Displays at Wimbledon are SWR controlled and the ones at Putney Bridge work from this system.

Please excuse me for asking but how would trains from Wimbledon be reversed at Earl's Court, while not obstructing other District Line trains

Into eastbound platform 2, detrain, shunt ahead into what was called ‘the yard’, allowing other eastbound trains to continue their route around, then come back into platform 3.
