New month, and a few different ideas incorporated. In response to your input, there are a few new ideas coming to this section, which should add a new dimesion to the quizes. Today sees a single part question. However there may be something added, for which bonus points are awarded should anyone spot what it is. *Click for larger version*

Glad to see the "S" stock undergoing field trials already.
Somewhere along the eastern reaches of the District?

The Ffestiniog has Farley locos doesn't it! I'd go Talyllyn. Dagenham Heathway, because the platform looks new and it has had an upgrade I believe!

I think the steam train might be Talyllyn. Agreed. Ffestiniog has Fairlie locos yes, i.e. back to back for the non-technical .

Ffestiniog has Fairlie locos yes, i.e. back to back for the non-technical . Not always are they the pushmi-pullyu beloved of Dr. Doolittle. There are also Single Fairlies. Taliesin (III ) being an apposite example.

Between everyone, all answers have been posted. Chris went with St Davids Day as a theme, hence the answers: Firstly, the station: *Click for larger version* This was specially renamed Dragonham Heathway for the occasion. Second was our imposter, Talyllyn Railway No. 1 'Talyllyn'- built 1865 by Fletcher Jennings, sat in the sun at Pendre. painted and photographed by MRFS42.

I'm so impressed with how you paired those two pics! Did you spend ages finding two alike, or did you go out and take the 'Dragonham' one specifically? Love it!

I knew I wanted a Welsh picture for St David's Day, and so asked MRFS for one of the Talyllyn railway. I was originally intending on pairing the photo with Euston (the station you'd take a train from to get from London to the Talyllyn) but when I saw the picture I realised I couldn't get one at Euston that would work.
I then thought what other station I could use and came up with Dragonham Heathway (it being closer to Wales edged it over Dragonham East)[1]. I then took a trip to Dagenham and took about 10 photos looking from the eastbound platform at different angles to try and get one the same, or one that could be reversed to be the same. I didn't quite manage it, but the one above worked the best.
[1] This may be the first time anyone has described Dagenham Heathway as being "closer to Wales".
