Not often we see this date. I suspect that ladies everywhere will be proposing marriage, so while they do that, we can have a look at todays picture. It's a single part question, although there are a couple of things that possibly shouldn't be there, so points for spotting those also. *Click for larger version*

SS Stig was in quickly via PM, correctly spotting Baker Street. (It's the interchange from the Northbound Bakerloo) *Click for larger version* rdejones spotted Glastonbury (It's Glastonbury Tor) *Click for larger version* I think it was only me that spotted the third, but as I have a set of answers in front of me, it doesn't really count, so I'll leave this one open for guesses. *Click for larger version*

The street looks very "Last of the Summer Wine" to me, is it something like Holmfirth?

It isn't Lime Regis, but it's closer to there than it is to Holmfirth.

The street is in a nice area of a nice settlement, but Stratford on Avon is too far north. I've never been to Stratford on Avon so I can't comment on how nice a place it is.

Better main tower than Lincoln, which would be too far North anyway.......

Yep, you've got it! More specifically, Water Lane, Salisbury. The only reason I knew it was that I was one of those people that used to go to The Common Cold Unit at Harvard Hospital in Salisbury in the reasons of researching medical science. Sadly, the place has long since closed down, due to certain political parties in charge of The UK, however the reasoning of the place was that if they ever found a cure for the common cold, we could find an answer to every virus, HIV included (although that wasn't in the plans when I was doing the research) Given that I had hours and hours of utter boredom while cultivating my cold, I had hours and hours of looking around the place (and the pubs *HIC*), I sort of know quite a few areas of it.... However, if you've reached this point of reading, congratulations on not falling asleep!

The fill in pics of the quiz seem to be mainly from the west/south west. I wonder why. ;D

The fill in pics of the quiz seem to be mainly from the west/south west. I wonder why. ;D Perfect reason for submitting some pictures of your own! It matters not where they were taken, Chris would appreciate any photo shots of anywhere. You will always be credited for your work, and we won't pinch the images to use elsewhere, you have my word on that, and I'm 101% certain ChrisM will back me on that! PM any of the quiz team if you have pictures, ChrisM is the best bet as he sets the questions, but I can deal with most stuff, and pass it on when he's got more time if that makes it easier... Plus I have enough hostspace to upload until such time as I can pass it to Chris.

Indeed, I always welcome pictures for the quiz or for backgrounds - the larger the file the better generally.
I always credit the photographer with the answer (if you don't see a name by any photograph used in the quiz, then it was taken by me) and will not use the image anywhere else without explicit permission.
The best way to submit photographs is to email them to me, my address is in my profile. Just make sure to let me know the details of where it is and anything else interesting about it. I will always acknowledge the emails, but sometimes this might not be until I'm preparing the questions for the following month. If you would like your picture on a particular day, let me know and I'll do my best to do it for then. Bear in mind that I start preparing for the following month around 10 days in advance, so do send it in good time.

I don't recognise it as Lincoln but then I live outside the city. It is, however, reminiscent of the way that waterways co-exist with the surroundings in villages in the county so it could be!
