A single part question today, with only one file size available. There are bonus points available for stating what is notable about the location. *No larger version available*

Elephant & Castle, Northern Line exit emergency stairs. Is it notable for still having it's original tiling while the rest of the station has been "refurbished"?

There are bonus points available for stating what is notable about the location. James Henry Greathead almost certainly walked down that staircase, although the treads have subsequently been replaced.

Elephant & Castle, bottom of the emergency stairs from the Northern Line, taken by David H. Notable because the tiling is original City & South London Railway.
Not many takers today, but well done.
