I haven't a clue really but my first thoughts are Finchley Road, the road down to the substation and old signal cabin, though it doesn't look right because of the building where I expect a brick gatehouse. Second thought is Earls Court but it's many years since I nipped out the back from the old signal school into the mews so I'm probably clutching at straws !

Looks like the bit to the right of the yellow sign was once a gate, or opening of some description. I'm still completely stumped. Will go with St Mary's (disused) at street level as a complete guess.

I'm sure it isn't the mews at the back of Earls Court, I was there only about 2 weeks ago. And wasn't the St Marys surface building destroyed by a bomb during World War 2?
Unfortunately I have no idea where this might be!

Is Barking still run down or has it been redeveloped in the last fifteen years? I don't think it can be there, I'm still clutching at straws!

Ok, not really what I was expecting to appear... It's a station on a Viaduct... Has an air of NLL or GOBLIN to me...

Well, we got the location-ish.... My sheet says Shepherds Bush H&C Line - rear of westbound platform.

Well, we got the location-ish.... My sheet says Shepherds Bush H&C Line - rear of westbound platform. Well part 1 had me stumped, the last thing I considered was track on a viaduct to the left! Unfortunately part 2 did not appear before I dropped off for a nap yesterday afternoon and I was so busy with my hobbies into the wee small hours that I never looked at the forum again until the last few minutes! As soon as I saw part 2 I knew what it was but that's life! I have to say it was quizically tops!

I only recognized it because when you came on here before 1996 you attended the RTC Railway Training Centre at White city, Shepherds Bush Met is just around the corner from the RTC. Did the RTC close in 1996? can someone clarify

I only recognized it because when you came on here before 1996 you attended the RTC Railway Training Centre at White city, Shepherds Bush Met is just around the corner from the RTC. Did the RTC close in 1996? can someone clarify I didn't actually think it lasted that long but if you went there in 1996 then it must have! By then I would've thought the lines had their own individual training set up elsewhere. 10A Wood Lane (next door) certainly closed at or before 1996 when the stores relocated to Acton, the offices which were mostly HT Mains Distribution offices and part of the old signal organisation training division had already been closed I think. I recall going there in the last few weeks before it closed when lots of equipment had to be booked out or it went to the skip when I worked for SE&C. I left that dept to move to Picc Line Engineering in September 1996.
