It's Monday, and it's raining! I think a single part question would suffice. *Click for larger version*

Hmm.... looks like an SSL station to me. One of the original SSL stations to boot, although admittedly not the part of that station that can claim to date from 1863.

Hmm, its on the upright at the side of the staircase to the ticket hall! that should narrow the possibilities for the uninitiated.

I imagine quite a few did know this, but only one person posted the answer, rich32. It was Baker Street - stairs from Platform 3 to ticket hall.

Very true, sometimes it's more fun giving clues than coughing up the answer. I can't actually think of anywhere else anywhere on the system that has those particular worn and polished uprights on the staircase to the ticket hall.

Sorry, might be lack of sleep that's causing my brain to malfunction, but how is the 'winner' decided? Is it the first one to post the answer, or the first to make the quiz setter aware that they know the location? The reason I ask is because there have been one or two where I was the first to post (admittedly not this one) but the credit goes to someone in a PM, and today, despite many knowing hints (but, I presume, no PM) the first one to post gets the credit.

The 'winner' is the first person to correctly identify the location either in the thread or by PM to SE13, Robster or myself. Although I'm sure that those posting the hints did know it was Baker Street, without explicitly saying "Baker Street" you can't be certian. "One of the original SSL stations to boot, although admittedly not the part of that station that can claim to date from 1863.", for example, could equally apply to Paddington (although I can think of nowhere at Paddington that looks remotely like this).

I obviously had a brain block cos I meant to post Baker St, I thought I'd posted Baker St, but looking back I posted Liverpool St - don't know why as I thought it was Baker St!!!!! Silly brain.
