Does anyone know when the last DLR services used the north side of Delta Junction, and roughly when the track was lifted? I'm guessing it would have been around the time of the Beckton branch opening but I'm not certain.
On Google Maps it seems it would be relatively easy to reinstate if need be, however I'm assuming that the various flyovers and grade separations between Westferry and Poplar mean there's no call for it.

The viaduct bypassing the north side was built for the extension to Beckton (it's called the Beckton Link Viaduct) which opened in 1994 because the original junction didn't have the capacity required. The West India Down Viaduct, which is used by trains from Westferry towards Canary Wharf opened in 2009 to further increase capacity. The north side of the Delta junction was never used for passenger services, only allowing access between Tower Gateway and the depot.

Although not used for a permanent regular passenger service, the north side of Delta Junction did see a few daily passenger trains at the start and end of service (Tower to/from Poplar with passengers).
It was also occasionally used for Tower to/from Stratford direct services when the Island Gardens branch was closed for engineering, in the early years of DLR operations when work was being undertaken to prepare for two unit trains - this was before the policy of closure and bustitutution of the whole network after 2130 weekdays, and for the entire weekend, came into being.
