Not sure if this is best asked here or on the Central Line forum but would anyone know where I could find withdrawal dates for 62 stock? I lived in Leytonstone for a year from September 93 and was an almost daily user of the Central Line. This obviously coincided with the introduction of the 92 stock and I well remember the gradual disappearance of the older trains over that time.
I used to write down the vehicles I travelled in and would be interested to see how close to their demise I had some of them. I do recall 92 stock was initially used Monday to Friday only which suited me when I was out and about as I always used to avoid them where possible.

You could try to obtain copies of the LURS(London Underground Railway Society)magazine from the mid 90s,it has a section for stock movements & withdrawals.

The last unit to be withdrawn was 1744 in 1999 on the Northern Line.
