The quiz now includes everything listed in this thread so isn't just Underground places. Today is a two part question, part one here, and the second part will be posted a little later. *Click for larger version*

I shall venture a guess that the signal post on the left carries the new JJ71B signal and that we are looking at the old No 53 points now taken out of use.

Gosh I haven't been up there since I commissioned the PA in the area almost 20 years ago now, if I am not mistaken the trackside Telephone cable kiosk on the left in the distance is a dead give away for it is directly opposite a substation which is hard to find by road when unfamiliar with the area!
Yes I know where this is but I won't give it away!

Northbound local road, approaching the old points on Watford South Junction, with the route secured up(with a far too short scotch) for Northbound working to Croxley.

Speaking as someone who has secured/unsecured these points on many occasions, i would be reluctant to remove the scotch unless i had something to knock it out with. I wouldn't want my hand trapped in there!

I think that coach screw stuck into the timber next to the 3rd slide chair would help.

I think that coach screw stuck into the timber next to the 3rd slide chair would help. They were supposed to have been plated according to the standards, but we had no plate to do it with, nor any P/Way to do the job.

Are there any more photos of the junction?

IIRC Tom sent me three photos of the junction, one of which is above. I was planning to use them in future quizzes, but if people would prefer me to post them let me know.
